James Jones was currently a PhD student in Mathematical Sciences at Loughborough University, before that he was a masters student at the University of Warwick. James' research focuses on constructing geometric objects and investigating the interesting properties which these objects have; these findings can be applied to problems in theoretical physics. James has a passion for music and regularly plays in jazz bands and orchestras in his spare time, he also enjoys quizzing and represented Loughborough University's quiz team on the TV show "University Challenge" in 2023.

Participants will be introduced to four foundational areas of mathematics by guest lecturers during the first week and then work on inquiry based projects with the support of the lecturers and graduate teaching assistants. One of the DREAMs Institute...
