Workshop on Elliptic Curve Cryptography 2009

Since their inception in 1997, the Workshops on Elliptic Curve Cryptography have always been the premier international forum for the dissemination of new research in elliptic curve cryptography. The purpose of these meetings is to continue to encourage and stimulate further research on the security and implementation of elliptic curve cryptosystems and related areas, while encouraging collaboration between mathematicians, computer scientists and engineers in the academic, industrial and government sectors. 

The aim of ECC is to bring together leading experts in the field as well as young researchers and graduate students for the purpose of exchanging ideas and presenting their work. The conference is accompanied by a one-week “summer school” on elliptic curves aimed at getting graduate students involved in the area. One of the main goals of the summer school is to give graduates students that are relatively new to the field a crash course in the core research areas that will be presented at the conference. This allows graduate students who are beginning their academic careers a chance to develop research topics and be able to benefit more from the conference.
