Day 1 - August 26: Kindergarten and Grades 1 through 3 Day 2 - August 27: Grades 4 through 8
On each day, Dr. John Mighton and Liz Barrett. JUMP Math's Manager of Outreach and Teacher Support for B.C. and First Nations, will demonstrate some effective strategies for teaching problem solving and provide lesson plans that teachers can use in the classroom.
Dr. Mighton will also highlight new materials and programs that are available from JUMP Math, including new interactive SMART Board lessons that facilitate the delivery of the lesson plans from the JUMP Math Teacher's Guides. He will also present recent research from cognitive science that has important implications for classroom practice.
