Topic
Mathematical Epidemiology of HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis Co-infection.
Speakers
Details
The thesis deals with the analysis of a dynamical model for the spread of HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis Co-infection. The model capture the dynamics of HIV/AIDS infected individuals and their impacts in the progression of tuberculosis. The full HIV-TB co-infection model is analysed and incorporate treatment strategy for the exposed and active forms of TB.
The stability of equilibria is derived through the use of P. van den Driessche and James Watmough method of generational matrix and Routh Harwitz stability criterion.
