UBC DG-MP-PDE Seminar: Zhichao Wang

In this joint work with X. Zhou, we exhibit the first examples of non-generic metrics on the three sphere in which the varifold associated with a two-parameter min-max construction must be a multiplicity two minimal surface. This is proved by a new area-and-separation estimates for certain minimal surfaces with Morse index two.
