PIMS is proud to support Science Rendezvous at UBC, a free community event celebrating science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).
Science Rendezvous is Canada’s national celebration of STEM, bringing together tens of thousands of people across the country each year to explore, learn, and experience science in fun and interactive ways.
At UBC, Science Rendezvous has become a vibrant annual tradition. In 2025, we welcomed over 3,000 visitors — including children, families, students, educators, and curious community members — for a day filled with discovery and hands-on learning.
Join us again in 2026 for an exciting day of science for all ages!
What to Expect
Science Rendezvous at UBC is a lively, interactive event where visitors can explore science in action through:
- Hands-on STEM activities for kids and families
- Interactive booths hosted by scientists, students, and community partners
- Fun challenges, demonstrations, and experiments
- Opportunities to ask questions and learn directly from STEM experts
- Activities designed to spark curiosity and inspire future innovators
- Public lectures, by our best scientist in their field at UBC

We need volunteers! If you are interested in helping at Science Rendezvous, please consider registering to volunteer. Volunteers are needed manage crowds, run science activities and help lots of other tasks on the day. You will get up close with lots of scientific activities, and certificates can be provided on request!
