New PIMS Deputy Director
The Pacific Institute for the Mathematical Sciences is pleased to
announce that its Board of Directors has appointed David Brydges as
PIMS Deputy Director, starting on August 1, 2008. He will also serve at
PIMS-UBC Site Director.
David Brydges is a Professor of Mathematics and Canada Research Chair at the University of British Columbia. He is a distinguished researcher in mathematical physics and probability, and has served on numerous scientific and professional committees.
