One of the primary responsibilities of my consulting work is to produce an electricity price forecast for Alberta.  In addition to being a product in its own right, the forecast drives significant consulting work in asset valuation, strategy and investment decision making.  I will speak to the structure and fundamentals of the Alberta electricity market and the myriad of mathematical challenges that go into producing a price forecast for commercial clients.
