CNRS and PIMS call for applications for the Séjours de longue durée dans les UMI.

The Unité Mixte Internationale of the French CNRS, associated with the Pacific Institute for the Mathematical Sciences (PIMS) is calling for applications from Canadian mathematical scientists to spend part of 2017 or the 2017 - 2018 academic year at one of the UMI member universities in France, so as to undertake research activities. Appointments should fall under any one of the categories below:

 

    1. An appointment in the French laboratory for a mandate that is supported by the lab, without assistance from INSMI
    2. An appointment in the French laboratory for a mandate that is supported by the lab, with a specific assistance from INSMI
    3. An appointment in the French laboratory for a mandate that is supported by the UMI in collaboration with INSMI
    4. An appointment in a UMI

     

    Applications should be emailed to insmi.international@cnrs.fr and to sinnou.david@cnrs-dir.fr by December 2, 2016 and should include a resume, a list of publications, a short description of the research project/ visit in the UMI, and provisional dates of the research project/ visit.

     

    It is advisable that applicants be in contact with the Director of PIMS, James Colliander, so as to discuss their application, prior to their final submission to INSMI. Results will be announced by Spring 2017.
