PIMS Awarded $6.25 Million in Funding From NSERC for
2014-2019. "I would like to thank all of my colleagues in
Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Washington State for their
excellent ongoing contributions to PIMS," noted Alejandro Adem, PIMS'
Director.

PIMS Emerging Aboriginal Scholars Summer Camp
provided an innovative program of learning for Aboriginal students at the high
school level.
 
PIMS-Sponsored Awards at Calgary Youth Science Fair.
Winners were Arjun Nair, Webber Academy and Zara Afridi, Almadina Ogden Middle
School.

PIMS Call For Proposals for Activities in 2015 or Later.
PIMS is currently welcoming applications for support of conferences, workshops,
summer schools, Distinguished Visitors, Focus Periods, Collaborative Research
Groups and related activities in the mathematical sciences.

Nominations Invited for the 2015 CRM-Fields-PIMS prize. Please see www.pims.math.ca/pims-glance/prizes-awards for
rules and instructions. The final deadline for nominations is November 1, 2014.

 

Notice of Closure

 

PIMS UBC site office will be CLOSED the week of August 18-22 and will reopen on
Monday, August 25.
