3rd Conference of the Canadian Prairie Theoretical Physics Network (CPTPN-3)
Speakers
Details
CPTPN-3 is a conference for theoretical physicists and other academic professionals with theoretical physics interests (e.g. mathematicians, philosophers of science, physics education researchers, etc.) from the Canadian prairies and elsewhere. Its purpose is to provide a welcoming venue for theoretical physicists of all sub-disciplines and academic ranks to showcase their latest research findings, facilitate in-depth discussions and networking opportunities that concern theoretical physics and related interests, and to partake of culturally stimulating activities that complement the normal business activities of the conference.
The CPTPN has a two-fold mandate to promote the growth of theoretical physics research capacities within the prairie region of Canada, and to effectively facilitate the training of graduate students and postdoctoral fellows within the CPTPN through innovative approaches to graduate-level classes, summer schools, and other initiatives currently under discussion. Part of the conference is dedicated towards developing the infrastructure required to maximize the educational opportunities for graduate students who are members of the CPTPN.
