The conference is intended to cover recent developments in the study of motives and periods with an emphasis to the connections to physics, arithmetic and algebraic cycles. The conference has an instructional component which consists of a series of survey talks. The conference will provide an opportunity for young speakers to present their results. The organizers intend to pay special attention to the support of women for this conference, at the senior level as well as at the level of postdocs and graduate students.
